Briar Ridge's take on the classic Aussie claret blend of Cabernet and Shiraz.
Part of the Limited Release range despite being bottle #4836, this saw French oak for nine months (17% new).
Cabernet has the upper hand in this blend. Roasted peppers, blackberries and Bay leaf. Dark plums, red currants and some blueberries come with time in the glass. Tense, it's a wine that goes through the motions without any great point of difference. A respectable wine no less, for the money I'd want something with a little bit more wow factor.
