A concentrated and flirtatious delight. If rich styles of Chardonnay make you weak at the knees, you should make a beeline in this direction.
The fruit was hand-picked and pressed to French oak (40% new) where it went through wild yeast fermentation with regular lees stirring. It underwent malolactic fermentation and after ten months in oak it was sent for bottling.
Oaky and creamy are the first impressions. Scents of oyster shell, mango and lemons whip up a frenzy with some tropical fruit appeal. A little lemon curd cranks up the dial with creme brulee, brioche and cashews hot on its heels. Flinty with gunsmoke things add further interest, the fruit concentration is elite. And that length! Just recline and embrace. An excellent Chardonnay, no question.
