A really tidy expression of Cabernet from Parker Estate, the fruit comes from a section of their acclaimed Abbey Vineyard.
An easy go-to if you see this on the shelf, this sees French oak for 11 months (25% new). What I like about these Parker wines is the consistency across the range and this Cabernet doesn't miss. Scents of dark chocolate and Mint Pattie set the stage with flashes of bacon hock. Blackberries and blackcurrants swarm the mid-palate and hold on to an elongated finish. A wine with terrific length, flow and fine tannins to peruse, this is great buying for the asking price.
