Barrel fermented with wild yeast and seeing five months in French oak, this Mill Block Chardonnay is highlighted by yellow fleshed peaches and nectarines, buttered toast, roasted cashews and a creamy nougat note. A sprinkle of ginger spice adds intrigue with a zesty lemony tang to keep things lively and fresh. But while that roast chook is cooking, a glass or two by the waterhole as the sun dips below the horizon would be more than appropriate.
