A generous and rich Barossa Shiraz, you can really get your claws into this release from Purple Hands.
Dense plums and dark berry fruit lay a solid platform with attractive scents of blueberry paste and squishy mulberries. Char and grilled meats sit underneath with dark chocolate brownie, Christmas cake and baking spices. Oak plays its part without being overbearing and there is a density that clings to the glass and grips your soul. The comfort factor is high, yet it's silky in its drive and presence. Those spices persistently reach out offering a moreish appeal. Cool nights by the fire or a rib roast are well in its wheelhouse. Great stuff.
