It's been a while since I've seen a Verdelho. Welcome back! This is from McLaren Vale's Chapel Hill and plays a straight bat with solid technique. A bit Steve Smith-esque you could say.
True to its varietal traits, it shows vibrant tropical fruit lift, passionfruit, cut pear, some fleshy white fleshed stonefruit on the mid-palate and a lasso of ginger spices framing the palate. The lick of a honey rises up late. It's a good drink without the bells and whistles, and if reliability is high on your list, this won't disappoint. Tick.
