Reviewed back in February, a revisit on the tasting bench has shown that another ten months in bottle has helped elevate things.
Rich and dense dark fruits with a flicker of Christmas cake, the fruit is ripe and the power is unmissable. Tense and gripping, it's a firm and muscular wine that slowly releases its grip over a couple of days of tasting. Drying cocoa tannins partner a dusting of black pepper and woodsy spices. An easy camp fire go-to.
