Although this O'Leary Walker Clare Valley Shiraz 2023 doesn't reach the glorious heights of the 2022, it is still a super expression of Clare Valley Shiraz and great buying for 40 bucks!
Handfuls of blackberries, dense plums and dark cherries lead the charge with licorice and licorice bullets hot on their heels. Some cedar rises up on opening that melts into the frame soon after. A composed and proud wine, some char and charcoal keep a similar tone to its predecessor with a dash of dried herb tossed in to seal the deal. Drinking tremendously now, this will continue to evolve for over a decade+. Moreish, delicious and ever reliable - bravo!
