A wine with a relaxed rhythm and vibe, there is a joyous disposition about the way this Levantine Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon carries itself.
Yarra Valley Cabernet is incredibly underrated, I've said this many times before. Here is yet another example of why this cool climate amphitheatre just north of the Melbourne CBD delivers time and again.
Juicy blackcurrants, blackberries, plums and pizza sauce are the main players with delightful savoury characters of tomato bush, Bay leaf, dried thyme and sage playing a neat supporting role. Dark chocolate builds the courage to step forward late as the drying finish looms up highlighted by brick dust tannins. Great stuff.
