Another quality wine from Tenafeate Creek, the consistency across the range is worthy of your attention. This Cabernet ticks all the boxes.
It opens with blackberries and blackberry pastilles. A generous dose of plums is not far from the action either. What I find appealing is the sleek, smooth lines. A full-bodied wine, there is a measured density with a clenched fist of sorts early on, but this softens with time in the glass. Spiced berries rise up once more before big, voluptuous tannins control the finish as it dries out ever so slowly. Clever stuff from this reliable producer.
