It's always a great exercise to revisit a wine to see how it's getting on. I reviewed this 3 Rings Barossa Cabernet back in January soon after release. For 20 bucks, this is a very tidy purchase.
Juicy varietal blackberries and blackcurrants make the first impression with black olives and tar. A good drink without the frills, some mint wanders about with dried herbs. There is a respectable coating of flavour throughout that is mouthfilling, not to mention the coiled tension and the long drive to a moreish finish that draws you closer. Well played.
Drink to eight years.
