New to the Running with Bulls range, say hello to the Bullish Shiraz. Designed to be enjoyed with food and packaged in an eye-catching, sleek bottle, this is an ideal barbecue partner.
The press release that accompanied this sample says that it is a wine with "bold flavours, disruptive packaging, making premium wine fun, fresh and totally unpretentious."
And totally unpretentious is spot on. It's a respectable wine that will be sure to please a legion of fans.
It's meaty with pan juices, charred steak, cured meats and dense plums luring you in. Blackberries and blueberries play a neat supporting role. Black pepper, barbecue rub spices and a sooty/dusty texture lead to a drying finish. Nicely done for the money, I suspect you will find it out there in retail land a little better than the RRP. All up, it's good stuff.
Drink to three years.
