The Angullong Fossil Hill range has had a facelift – and I like it. Making its debut alongside the new look is this Pinot Noir. Bright and energetic, it's a very tidy light to medium-bodied red that is a joy to pour.
Awash with red currants, rhubarb and red cherries, tilled earth, pine needles and sautéed mushrooms show some strong varietal form. A sheet of fine spices is tossed across the palate adding further interest and detail. A solid expression of Pinot Noir, you're on a winner for the asking price.
