This Cape Barren Native Goose Cabernet Sauvignon grows on you. The injection of the Mint Pattie (remember those?) has me coming back for more.
A wine with a muscular presence, there is a modesty about its carry as it ticks the boxes. Juicy blackcurrants are partnered by blackberries, red plums and that usual Cabernet character of grilled capsicum. Sapping and puckering dryness, it's minty with a sprinkling of dried thyme and sage. But that Mint Pattie delight ramps up late. Drink now or hold for the medium term. Regardless, it's good to go.
