Bone dry, this Stockman's Ridge PrimRosé comes from 100% Shiraz and will eat up a barbecue feast.
Made by Will Rikard-Bell, Orange's resident texture boss, a portion was wild yeast fermented with other components seeing up to eight months in seasoned French oak.
It opens with scents of candied peach and mandarin peel but gets to work with plentiful dried cranberries, pomegranate and rhubarb. Some freeze dried strawberries slide in late with a lithe creaminess adding to the detail. But there is no denying the super dry presence that screams for barbecued food.
