The Oakridge Vineyard Series is on fire at the moment. This Willowlake Pinot Noir is such a beautiful wine. Pillows of super fine tannins glide through effortlessly. Go here.
I thought this was a little more floral than the previous release with dried petals leading the way. Luscious cherries, blackberries and plums get in on the act adding some depth before it gets serious with an array of savoury delights in the form of pine needles, sauteed mushrooms and tilled earth. Soft spices and silky feels come with the territory, but above all, it's just a delight to drink. Yes!
Drink to eight years.
