It's a wine that is easy to get comfortable with, but for now, I'm looking for that X factor and there are glimpses of it after being open for a few days. Handfuls of black fruit and berries bounce out. Licorice and all the expected Cabernet varietal traits come along for the ride. There is some tension with sprinkles of spice. Encased in a cedar and sandalwood wrapping, a little coconut rough has the last word on a long and sustained finish. Give it the time it deserves.
