Mataro done well and standing on its own two feet is a beautiful thing. I'm all for this cracker from Turkey Flat.
Meaty as you'd expect, there is a superb Black Forest thing going on. Add cedar, sandalwood, roasted nuts and dark chocolate and this is humming. Possessing fabulous width and breadth, the depth is seemingly painted across the palate and refuses to move. A twiggy and earthy thing adds further interest to a wine boasting charcuterie board appeal. It's a great drink - come at me Sunday barbecues.
Drink to eight years.
