A cool label and a very cool wine. This is an excellent Fiano from McLaren Vale's Serafino.
Expressive aromas of lemon juice, lemongrass, lemon zest, green melon, seaspray and cut green herbs explode from the glass.
A textural vibe and minerally undertow sit at the heart and control the rhythm and vibe. White fleshed stonefruit, pears, green apple, lemon juice and a delicate creaminess all fold into one another with absolute ease. Its weight and delicate mouthfeel ensure that this is best with food and I reckon I'd have no issues seeing the end of a couple of glasses at lunch. It's very well done - pour me another, please.
