Pretty, vibrant and dancy, the vivacious medium-bodied delight that is this Max & Me Grenache seems to evaporate from the glass with absolute ease.
Winemaker Phil Lehmann's gentle touch is evident and he ensures this fruit sourced from Springton absolutely sings.
Attractive aromas of lavender immediately capture my attention. Silky red fruits are the order of the day with blueberries, red apple skin and some red plums joining the chorus. Superfine tannins enable this to glide through the mouth effortlessly. Some earthiness and fine twigs add savoury appeal but those blue fruits keep circulating with intent. Delicately spiced, a long and moreish finish is begging for a repour and it's hard to not oblige. Go here.
