Cabernet in the slot. The Yalumba Cigar has been a reliable wine since its inception and this 2018 doesn't miss a beat.
Loaded with blackberries, a fine mintiness rides on its coattails - there is a lot to like about its flow. Compote and chocolate add interest but the wrestle between fruit and savoury deliciousness plays out a neat interaction with the latter taking charge. Medium-bodied with a hot cross bun like spice, that persistent finish seals the deal. Well played.
