Matt Burton sources fruit from a number of regions and it seems he has a habit of polishing a few gems. In short, this is delicious. A fabulous Rosé, I could neck the lot. Find this.
This is the first time Burton has worked with Nebbiolo he says. Sourced from the Hilltops in NSW, this is dancy, classy and incredibly moreish. It skips around joyously but has a sophisticated charm.
Red currants, the white bit of the strawberry, crunchy red apples, a flash of blackcurrant, a delicate creaminess and then the Nebbiolo powdery tannins swoop. Wild fermented and seeing four months in old oak, it's long and dangerously moreish with a bone dry finish. I just want more. Nah, give me it all.
