If you've had the pleasure of dining at the Oakridge restaurant you would have overlooked these vines. Handpicked, four day maceration and four weeks on skins before pressing then it sees 15 months in French oak.
Blackcurrant, cool mint, milk chocolate, sage and dried thyme, it's a wine that slides through with ease. The mouthfeel is next level. Dark cocoa builds momentum and the black fruits and berries synonymous with the variety play a supportive role rather than a dominant one. The playful presence in the mouth is captivating. Not weighty, not short, just brilliantly balanced. A little cedar works its way into the frame but plays a supporting role. A glorious wine all the way.
