The Steeple is a biodynamic Shiraz from the Barossa's Light Pass sub-region planted in 1919.
Whiffs of blackberries and fruits early moved to dense dark chocolate, cedar and black earth. Red plums shine with the more air it breathes. It feels a little stop-start for now and doesn't have that flow but then a couple of days on it finds its mojo. Sleek and streamlined, it's a different wine. Cloves with flirtatious cedar finish with dark plums and a delicately spiced drive. Give it a good decant to drink now or hold for a few years away - you choose.
