The Boombox Shiraz 2020 is playing some deep beats. Dense and layered just the way winemaker Derek Fitzgerald likes to present his red wines - and mix his tunes when in the DJ box.
Gee, there is some depth. Dark fruits and cedar try to steal the limelight but forage a little more to reveal pan juices, cool mint and dark chocolate. Dried sage and thyme add some savoury appeal along with a fine rub of clove and some brown spices that roll along for a sustained finish. For a $25 bottle there is certainly plenty here to appease. Good to go now or it will age well for the medium term.
