A 62/38 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the fruit comes from Tasmania's Piper's River. Scents of wholemeal bread and sour dough, apples and lemon juice get you in the mood. These flow to the mouth with ease adding some cashews and hazelnuts. Three years on lees has built a fabulous complexity yet there is a freshness from that classic oyster shell character and zesty citrus lift. A wine with terrific persistence, this is wonderfully done.
