A big McLaren Vale red. A blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, this calls for Sunday night roasts.
Give this a good decant to see it at its best - if you are drinking it now of course. Firm and tense for now, it's a shy guy unwilling to let you in. Coax it slowly with that decant.
Dark chocolate, dense plums and berry pie early. Rich and carrying some serious depth, this has steak night or roast beef in the palm of its hand. Drying, puckering tannins leave a dusty cocoa feel through the mouth.
Quite viscous, it's drying but also carries some heft - the follow through is immense. I came back to it on day two and day three and it was still showing its bravado. There's something I like about that. That street tough swagger screaming 'I'm not ready yet'.
