A Sunday roast special, this Indigo Vineyard Hannaford is a great Cabernets that is dripping with approachability.
The black fruit carries a lick of fruit sweetness. Dark plums, dark cherries, blueberry paste and chocolate roll out the welcome mat for a most enjoyable splash of red wine.
Tense and coiled, it gradually opens up with some time. Dried Mediterranean herbs, spearmint and puffs of earthiness come together delivering a blend with an elongated finish and clever detail. Already showing good signs for aging, it would be wise to get one for now and one for later.
