This is a great Shiraz for the asking price. One thing Mudgee does very well and very consistently across the district is Shiraz. For $35, you are doing very well with this Huntington Estate 2021 in your glass.
It's quite the package that showcases Mudgee Shiraz fabulously - big love for the generous fruit and those robust Mudgee tannins.
A little fruit sweetness from the blackberries skirts the dense and generous fruit. Dark plums, dark chocolate, mocha and ripples of earthiness all fold into one another. Give it some time and baked blueberries rise up with some dark cherries. That earthiness circles back around - beautiful. Generous and silky with some muscle, there is a lot to love here.
