One of the great labels in the Australian wine landscape, that classic ochre gets me every time. Despite the challenge of a cooler year, this Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet is still a reliable drink.
It's worth noting that this is a notch behind the previous 2021 release, yet it still holds its own.
Quite a savoury Cabernet, leafy, herby and minty things sit in the driver's seat. Black fruits warm to the task with some time in the glass. That fruit was more prominent previously and it is clear that the vintage conditions are speaking this time in. Dark chocolate and cigar box highlights with soft spices drawing long on a moreish length. It's a wine that will age well. Nicely done.
