A good Grenache brings juicy fruit and vibrance but this example from Iron Cloud seems to be holding itself back. Perhaps some time may flesh it out a little more?
This Grenache presents a medium-bodied profile but it's a little skinny on the detail. Red plums, sour red cherries and licks of blueberries tinker around the edges. Quite firm with a red apple crunch, the acid is bright with firmish tannins. I kept looking about but this wasn't one to come forward and drench me with its riches. It goes ok but for the money you'd expect a lot more detail and presence.
