Lou Miranda 1917 Centenarian Grenache 2023

Some serious vine material here. Dry-grown and planted in 1917, this Lou Miranda Centarian Grenache comes in a big, sturdy bottle immediately owning the space and stamping its authority.

Ripe, earthy and dense, this is quite the voluptuous type and clearly showcases the southern Barossa clay rich dirt.

Give this a decant and watch it unfurl. Scents of dried red petals shift to baked raspberries and raspberries dipped in chocolate, red currants, red apple and touches of pomegranate. The length extends to deliver some blackberry and a faint lick of plum pudding. Laced with baking spices and an array of exotic spices, there is a little mouth warmth from that spice that is comforting for those chilly evenings. The tannin structure will ensure this lives long should you tuck it away. All up, it's a great drink.
