Fresh, vibrant and easygoing, this is a tidy Embers Chardonnay from Flametree Wines.
I haven't seen this wine since the 2018 release. In that time it has skipped up $10 and there is no doubting the quality. The wines from Flametree are always well-made.
Nectarines, candied peaches and green mango open the account. Fruit-driven, there is a lithe creaminess that bowls along in the background. Softly textured, fresh is the buzzword with a firm yellow grapefruit acidity leaving a lemon sherbet tang. It's ready to go now.
Drink now to three years.
