There is more Arneis in the Piedmont than most would realise. This release from Castello di Nieve is a top drop and incredibly approachable.
Cut pears and white fleshed nectarines launch from the glass and flow through to the flavour profile seamlessly. Add some slivered almonds, white pepper, shimmers of minerality and some bright acid and you have a most reliable wine to lean on. A little texture leaves some phenolic grip to consider on close. It's a big tick from me.
