It's a wine you just want to hang out with, such is its approachability and plentiful fruit. The consistency across the range of Head Wines I have seen of late speaks highly of its producer - bravo. And this super blend possesses that Scott Boland line and length reliability and magic.
Dark plums, black currants and a touch of mint from the small addition of Cabernet lie in the shadow of dark berries, plums and chocolate nibs. It's not a showy wine, yet it walks with charisma and a calming presence. A smattering of dried herbs and fine tannins adds a moreish factor on close coupled with that persistent finish. Great stuff and well played. Run to this.
