I'm pretty confident that this Buchanan GSM shares the same ripe fruit as the Patrick Old Vine Grenache, but this strikes a better balance and walks the line with a touch more finesse and confidence.
A 60/35/5 blend, it sees seasoned French oak for 9 months. Medium bodied, sprigs of spearmint, raspberries, mulberries and cherry pips put their shoulder to the wheel. Not a showy type, you get the sense that it is happy in its own skin. Chocolatey oak and fruit bun spices whip up the tail adding to a respectable length. A handy partner for a burger or pizza.
Drink to five years.
