I spent some time in Italy just recently eating my body weight in gelato (naturally), and the aroma here of Amarena cherries has my mind rushing back to what soon became my favourite flavour.
Sweet raspberries, blueberries, all the Amarena, shards of dark chocolate and dried herbs - I just want more. The longer it sits, some blood orange rises up with a firmish acidity gripping the tail. Sheets of fine spices reach long adding a moreish factor. You'd be forgiven for pouring this recklessly - it's such an enjoyable, juicy and mega approachable wine. One of those "see-it, buy-it" kinda wines, don't hesitate.
