Rocche Costamagna Barolo DOCG Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva 2019

An incredible expression and from the highest part of the vineyard, this Rocche Costamagna Barolo DOCG Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva 2019 is aged for five years prior to release including two years in seasoned Slovakian oak barrels.

A red carpet ride for all the beauty that Barolo delivers, it's refined, gentle and elegant. It speaks in nuances rather than volume, revealing its complexity with quiet confidence - yes!

It opens with aromas demonstrating a delicate interplay of orange peel and dried cranberries that are layered beneath a core of cherry pips and subtle rose petals. There’s an underlying earthiness with hints of tar, crushed rock, dark chocolate nibs and dried herbs. The palate is equally restrained yet expressive, offering finely etched red fruit flavours with a tactile minerality. The tannins are beautifully integrated - polished, silky, and persistent while providing structure without bulky weight. The acidity brings freshness and lift, drawing out the finish with shades of citrus zest and faint smoke to close.

A Barolo of quiet power and oozing class, give me it all.
