The Central Otago 2018 vintage was the hottest summer in 50 years bringing harvest three weeks early.
Compared to the Roaring Meg, there's a bit more clout to this. Some density comes via red cherries and some plum fruit with youthful tannins. The soft baking type spices which curl around the mouth are what I am warming to here. Enjoy with rich or savoury food.
