Quite a spicy Fiano from McLaren Vale's Hastwell and Lightfoot.
Rich aromas had me thinking this was a Viognier initially. There's some swagger about the way it carries itself, that's for sure. But there's a texture about it that runs deep. Stonefruit, quince and whispers of honey tones. Cinnamon like spices and a lemony tang clutch to a long finish. I'd need food alongside it to get comfortable. The company tag line, "wine for eating," plays its part here.
Drink to three years.
