The big gun Cabernet from d'Arenberg but this edition comes across a bit forced.
It's firm to taste, and although it's not made for now, it's one of those occasions where you assess a wine for where it as at present as to where it could be.
Mint, cut green herbs, blackberries and cassis, a smidge of eucalypt - it's all there but there's a frown on its brow which doesn't particularly want to let you in for the moment.
I looked at it over a couple of days to calm the beast and it was a slow burn. There's potential here, make no mistake.
