A spicy Barbera from Langhorne Creek.
Blackberries are prominent as are dark plums. There's a concentration of fruit in the mid-palate but a watery and green herby edge protrudes more than it should. A fair rattle of spice is constant from gate to post plus a good nudge of earthiness. Soft tannins close things off well. Some more bottle age will be of benefit to tie things up a little tighter.
Drink to six years.
