An interesting wine, and compared to the 100% barrel fermented Chardonnay, this is tight and tense.
Spending 18 months in French oak, there's a restrained power evident. Only seven barrels were selected for this release, one of which was 100% new oak. In the mouth it feels a little warm with a lemony drive and persistent white fleshed stonefruit. A respectable length but a wine which I feel will grow with more bottle age.
