"This is meant to be clean, fresh and gluggable, and not much more," says winemaker Wes Pearson. Yep, all those boxes have been ticked.
Having spent four hours on skins, I keep peeling off veneers of interest the more I go back. Think mandarin peel, raspberries, dried basil, white cherry, the white bit of the strawberry and blood orange. It's busy but also immensely satisfying. Fine spice barely raises its hand on a long finish as it goes about its work. Great stuff.
Drink to three years.
