This is good. Really good! It has that yin and yang appeal as the fruit and savoury goodness playfully seek the upper hand.
Classy Margaret River all the way - blackcurrants, dried herbs, mint leaves, shards of dark chocolate and dried leaves. Puckering, it has a sapping dryness but it opens up a treat giving the blackcurrants a voice to speak louder and louder. Roasted peppers, sage and thyme chime in too with a distinct aroma of tomato bush stepping forward late. It sees 18 months in French oak and that has been well handled. Fine, powdery tannins have the last word and call you back time and again. Excellent!
