Tim Smith Rosé 2022

"Get in it the ice bucket and get your friends around you," says Tim Smith. He'd be right. You could smash this in quick time. This is his second Rosé release and it's just as stunning as the previous. If this was on the pour in a wine bar or by the pool, I'm there.

The 2021 sold out all too quickly and this 2022's popularity won't be far behind. Made from Mataro with a portion seeing older oak, that creamy drive is evident. Onion skin in appearance, it's all red currants, freeze dried raspberries and rhubarb. Wonderfully framed, its savoury drive kicks into gear with a glorious wave of white chocolate, sage and dried herbs plus dangerously fine spices to close. Bone dry, this is absolute springtime drinking pleasure.

Drink now.
