Good Pinot Noir doesn't come cheap - I reckon I could have lost my voice from the number of times that I've said that over the years... This Y Series Pinot Noir delivers some pleasant varietal traits and mighty value along the way and it may well buck the trend of that aforementioned statement.
Aromas of typical Pinot earthiness, dark cherries and fennel hit the spot straight up. Sour cherries, baked strawberries and red plums muse and are flanked by a scattering of fine baking spice. Some may suggest it is just a light-bodied red but there is enough Pinosity here. It's a bloody good buy for the money too particularly as the Y Series has been known to find itself priced around the $10 mark. If you see that, run to it. Bargain!!
