Wonderfully balanced with a lethal alluring complexity, this Lambrook Emerson is an excellent sparkling wine that impressed me deluxe.
Made with 100% Pinot Noir, it sits on lees for four years and the resultant complexity and detail is telling.
Layered and then some, think wafer biscuits, almond meal, cashews, figs, white-fleshed stonefruit and sourdough. A fine peach skin like texture is brushed atop the palate with casual flecks of ginger drawing out long. It's fresh, bone dry and possesses a terrific length and width. I'm not gonna lie, this is a cracking wine and one that is sure to impress.
