An Italian fruit salad of sorts, this Ben Murray Wines Rosé is a blend of four varieties that together bring lift, energy and a fabulous moreishness.
I don't ming that it is darker in the glass than most Rosés. The sameness of that pale salmon appearance most possess gets a bit boring sometimes.
A blend of Sagrantino, Primitivo, Graciano and Lagrein, it walks with a cranberry juice appearance.
Cherries, rhubarb, pomegranate and red currants diffuse from the glass. A fine line of creaminess pushes through the mid-palate bringing blackcurrants, red plums and blueberries along for the ride. The depth and volume is measured with a dancy factor. Throw this at some tapas (I'm thinking something meaty like chorizo or even paella), burger night or the humble sausage sizzle in the park with friends would smash the brief too.
Drink now.
