This Seed Pinot Noir from Lambrook comes in as the entry-level wine and I actually prefer it to its more expensive sibling the Plant Pinot Noir. A wine with better flow, I found more joy here.
As with the Plant, there is still a touch of warmth and spice present but the fruit is more balanced and dancy. More on a red fruit spectrum with some plums and blackcurrants providing able support, cedar and pine needles are still in the mix. Soft fruit bun spices tap away on a persistent length as it dries out ever so slowly bringing the mouth to water. For 27 bucks, this is a good drink.
Drink to five years.
